SBP Flooring

What a project this was! And all completed within a two day window.

The community hall in Stamford Hill was in need of a new floor situated in their large commercial kitchen. When working with the customer, we had to be mindful that the flooring had to not only be suitable for the area, but that it would also withstand the constant stream of traffic which would inevitably wear the floor out. In addition to this, water is used to wash down the area each evening, so it was essential that it had to be watertight. This meant that all of the external and internal miters had to be welded precisely and perfectly.

The phases of the job were discussed and agreed with management, and staff were made aware of our presence to allow for a smooth transition.

We began the job by latexing this 100m2 commercial kitchen using Stop Gap F-Ball 1200, ensuring a smooth and solid coat to fit the material onto. After leaving it to dry over night, we feather coated the whole floor in order to secure a level finish. We also fitted the cove former to allow for the cap and cove to be fitted.

We then installed Altro Walk Way Safety Vinyl, fitted securely into three wade gullys, allowing for a water tight surface. This was the ideal product to use for the desired outcome as it is strong and durable. Once the walls are cladded, this commercial kitchen will be ready use.
